"Japan," that part is easy, "But... there's not a lot of time and I..." he still doesn't know how he feels about getting out on the ice in front of everyone, and he's going to lose a week here in Russia, at least. "I probably won't end up being able to get home. Win or lose, I'll have to get back to school." That's the easy answer. Because the more difficult answer is that he really doesn't want to go to Nationals at all. He needs more time, and Victor doesn't really change that. He doesn't know how he's going to deal with all of the questions on his own, everyone watching him for either signs of a comeback or signs that he's through.

He's glad he's done with breakfast both because he doesn't really have much of an appetite anymore and because it means he can curl his hands around the cup of coffee and take a little comfort from that.
